Following on the success of the first arm balance workshop we are planning another for Saturday 1:00 Nov 19th at Nandi Yoga. This will be a two and a half hour workshop.
This workshop will take your arm balance practice to new levels of confidence,
strength and variation by learning how to build a solid and sustainable arm balance practice and incorporate those poses into a flow sequence. The goal is to enter, hold and exit arm balances without strain – letting your alignment enable stability and ease (and having your bones – not your muscles – do the work).
First, you’ll focus on crow (bakasana) – the foundation of all forward facing arm balances. Then you’ll explore arm balance poses that are built on crow’s foundation. Finally, you’ll play with sequences that flow from one arm balance to another.
This workshop is open to all levels of students with some yoga experience.
All you need as a starting point is the beginnings of crow.
Even if you can’t balance you are ready for this workshop.
The details still have to be worked out and will be posted soon. So please let me know if you are interested.
